Maya 8 Unlimited
Autodesk Maya 8 Unlimited is the World's best Three Dimentional animation software around. It has been used in movies such as "Ice Age", "X-Men", "Vertical Limit", " Scooby Doo", "Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within", "Star Wars: Episode I and Episode II and Episode III", "The Matrix", "Monsters Inc", "The Lord Of the Rings 1, 2, and 3", "The Hulk", "The Day After Tomorrow", "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe", and "King Kong". Maya 8 is used by industry professionals for many films and special effects. Anything that you see on the screen that doesn't seem entirely real is probably made with Maya. Some things however that seem very real are also made with Maya. This software is the exact same software as the professionals use, however we only have the educational version (which doesn't mean that it is any less effective, it just means we can't make a movie in 3D and release it nationwide and make money off of it.). There are a few students, who are the animators at WDHS, that know how to use Maya. They are willing to teach any student that would like to learn how to use the software.
