Student Staff

Station Manager

Andrew Suciu & Sean Rinna

The Station Manager(s) is in charge of the studio. He is responsible for everything that happens in the studio. He orders equipment, finds out information about competitions, finds information about trips, gets press about the studio, etc. He makes sure that the staff is on task with their jobs and helps students with problems they have with the equipment. He is also always on call if someone needs to get access to the studio on a weekend or a break. He schedules staff meetings and important fundraiser events.

 

 

 

 

 

Producers

Executive Producer: Kelly "Mak-Attack" Sczomak

The Executive Producer's job is to manage all of the AVID Editors in the studio and does the AVID signout. Also, If anyone comes to the studio requesting the studio tape something for them, then she either takes the job for herself or delegates the job to the assistant producers or any other willing students. She also assists students when they need help with the AVID or production work. She is the best executive producer we have ever had.

Producer: Joe Higgins

An Assistant Producer's job is to help out the executive producer in making sure the AVIDs are running efficiently and students are not having any problems with them. He takes jobs that the executive producer acquires and helps out students when they have problems with the AVIDs.

Producer: Hannah Welsh

An Assistant Producer's job is to help out the executive producer in making sure the AVIDs are running efficiently and students are not having any problems with them. He takes jobs that the executive producer gets and helps out students when they have problems with the AVIDs.

Computer Tech

Head Computer Tech: Andrew Mayer

The Head Computer Tech is usually busy 98% of the time with pressing tasks and maintenance. The head computer tech sets up all of the computers in the beginning of the year and helps ensure that they are safe, efficient, and won't crash half-way through the year. He, along with the staion manager, order new machines and equipment. The head computer tech also maintains the AVID and Final Cut Pro editing systems. In addition to administrating the many studio computers, the computer tech does what no one else can do, working on this website.

Assistant Computer Tech: Open

The Computer Tech squad is savvy to all things computer related. The assistant computer tech's job is to assist anyone who needs help using a computer or anything computer related. They often clean up the office and make sure that everything is running well on the computers. The computer techs are familiar with 70% of all the software that is used here at WDHS and are willing to help anyone use/learn it.

Equipment

Equipment Manager: Steph Theirey

The Equipment Manager has one of the hardest jobs of all. He has to check out and check in all the equipment to the students and hear from all of the students when something isn't working. He also knows how to fix the equipment. He also fines students for bringing in the equipment late, for turning in broken equipment, losing the equipment, and not returning the equipment in the same condition when checked out (unrolled cables, batteries still in cameras, lens caps off of cameras, tapes in cameras, etc.). The equipment manager meets with the station manager to check what new equipment needs to be purchased and helps make the descision.

Assitant Equipment Manager: Beth

The Assistant Equipment manager's job is to assist the equipment manager in checking out and checking in the equipment. Usually one assistant equipment manager will be in the studio before school begins and one will be in the studio right when school ends to check out equipment. Equipment managers have extensive knowlege of the equipment and can aid any student in using them. They also administer camera tests or any other type of equipment test.

Secretary

Secretary: Derek Radcliffe

The Secretary's job is to handle all the paperwork that comes into WDHS such as scholarship opportunities, bills, invoices, etc. They make the phone list, copies of equipment sheets and avid signout sheets, and take attendance at the staff meetings. The secretary also issues press releases and is in charge of making all publications for news papers or any sort of press to advertise the studio.

Studio Managers

Studio Manager: Jake Ramirez

The Studio Manager's job is to maintain order and come in after school hours to keep the studio open.

Studio Custodians

Studio Custodian: Evan

The Studio Custodian's job is to clean the studio and make sure the studio, equipment, and anything else is clean at all times.

Studio Custodian: Dylan Brooks

The Studio Custodian's job is to clean the studio and make sure the studio, equipment, and anything else is clean at all times.
